East Renfrewshire Council has introduced some changes over the last few years with a view to increasing the availability of wheelchair accessible vehicles. Although we have a small increase in the number of these vehicles the numbers are not yet sufficient to serve the needs of the residents of East Renfrewshire. We are therefore asking you, and any other members of the public with an interest in this subject, for your ideas and suggestions on how numbers should be increased.

For the first time, the Council is now contemplating changes to the specification for private hire vehicles as well as taxis in an attempt to raise overall numbers.

A public meeting will be held at Williamwood High School, Eaglesham Road Clarkston, East Renfrewshire, G76 8RF at 6.45 pm on Tuesday 28 February.  This event is being facilitated by East Renfrewshire Disability Action (ERDA).
